အေျခခံ အဂၤလိပ္စကားေျပာေလ့လာရာမွာ သြက္သြက္လက္လက္နဲ႔ အမွားအယြင္းကင္းေအာင္ ေျပာႏိုင္ဖို႔အတြက္ ေအာက္ပါအေျခခံ၀ါက်ေတြကို ေကာင္းေကာင္း အလြတ္ရေအာင္ က်က္မွတ္ထားရပါမယ္။ အဒီ၀ါက် ေတြမွတဆင့္ ဘယ္လိုဆင္ပြားေျပာဆိုလို႔ရတယ္ဆိုတာကိုလည္း ရွင္းျပေပးပါမယ္။ ၀ါက်တစ္ေၾကာင္းစီကို ေကာင္းေကာင္းနားလည္ၿပီးရင္းႏွီးကၽႊမ္း၀င္သြားေအာင္ ႏုတ္တိုက္ရြတ္ဆို က်က္မွတ္ဖို႔လိုပါတယ္။ အဂၤလိပ္စကားေျပာ ၀ါက်မ်ားသာျဖစ္ၿပီး grammar အသံုးမ်ားကိုရွင္းျပထားျခင္းမရွိပါဘူး။ ေအာက္ပါစကားေျပာ ၀ါက်ပံုစံ ၂၉ မ်ိဳးကို အသံုးမ်ားေသာ ၀ါက်မ်ားႏွင့္ ပူးတြဲေလ့လာႏိုင္ေအာင္ ေဖၚျပထားပါတယ္။ ေလ့လာရာမွာ လြယ္ကူေစရန္အတြက္ ျမန္မာဘာသာသို႔ျပန္ဆိုေပးထားပါတယ္။

Once while traveling, Raman found himself in the company of a group of soldiers.

တစ္ခါတုန္းကခရီးသြားစဥ္ ရာမင္သည္ စစ္သားအုပ္စုတစ္စုႏွင့္အတူ ခရီးသြားရေလ၏။
They were all veterans of war and soon they got to talking about their experiences on the battlefield.

အားလံုးသည္ စစ္ျပန္မ်ားျဖစ္ၾကၿပီး မၾကာမွီမွာပင္ သူတို႔၏စစ္ပြဲအေတြ႔အႀကံဳမ်ားဆီသို႔ စကားေရာက္သြားေလ၏။

One old soldier told of the time he had single-handedly slain seven enemy soldiers. Another gave a detailed description of the manner in which he had held an entire enemy battalion at bay.
စစ္သားအိုႀကီးတစ္ဦးက သူသည္လက္တစ္ဘက္တည္းျဖင့္ ရန္သူစစ္သား ခုႏွစ္ဦးကိုသတ္ခဲ့စဥ္က အေၾကာင္းကိုေျပာျပ၏။ အျခားတစ္ဦးက ပင္လယ္ေကြ႔တြင္ရန္သူစစ္တတ္တတ္ရင္းတစ္ခုလံုးကို သူမည္သို႔ထိမ္းထားႏိုင္ခဲ့သည္ကို အေသးစိတ္ေျပာျပ၏။
When they had finished they looked condescendingly at Raman.
သူတို႔အားလံုးစကားဆံုးေသာအခါ ရာမင္ကို အထက္စီးအမႈအရာျဖင့္ၾကည့့္္ၿပီး၊

Common Idioms (1)

1.Bored to death

ပ်င္းလို႔ေသေတာ့မယ္။
"I have nothing to do. I'm bored to death."

ငါ့မွာဘာမွလုပ္စရာမရွိဘူး။ ငါပ်င္းလို႔ေသေတာ့မယ္။
"I hate it when I'm bored to death."

ငါ့ေသမေလာက္ပ်င္းဖို႔ေကာင္းတာကိုမုန္းတယ္။ (ေသမေလာက္ပ်င္းဖို႔ေကာင္းတဲ့အခါမိ်ဳးမွာ အဲအေျခအေနကို ငါအရမ္းမုန္းတယ္)

A: "Hey Seth, what are you doing?"

ေဟး ဆက္ ဘာလုပ္ေနလဲ။
B: "I'm reading a book. What are you doing?"

ငါ စာအုပ္ဖတ္ေနတယ္။ မင္းေကာဘာလုပ္ေနလဲ။
A: "I'm bored to death. Let's do something."

ငါပ်င္းလို႔ေသေတာ့မယ္။ တစ္ခုခုလုပ္ရေအာင္။
B: "Sure. Come over and we can play some games."

ေကာင္းၿပီေလ။ လာခဲ့ေလ ငါတို႔ဂိမ္းကစားၾကတာေပါ့။

#1 – I’m heading to the university – I’ll give you a ride if you want.

တကၠသိုလ္ကိုသြားမလို႔ ၊ မင္းဆႏၵရွိရင္ငါ့ကားနဲ႔လိုက္ပို႔ေပးမယ္ေလ။(လိုက္ခဲ့ေလ)

heading to ဟူေသာ အသံုးအႏႈႏ္ုးမွာ going to ၊ traveling to တို႔ႏွင့္ အဓိပၸယ္ဆင္တူေသာ္လည္း လည္းေကာင္းတို႔ အစားသံုးေသာ သမရိုးက်မဟုုပ္ေသာ အသံုးအႏႈန္းျဖစ္ပါတယ္။ စကားေျပာ အဂၤလိပ္မွာ သံုးတာမ်ားပါတယ္။

“I’ll give you a ride” 

ရဲ့အဓိပၸါယ္က ျမန္မာဘာသာဆီေလွ်ာ္ေအာင္ျပန္မယ္ဆိုရင္ ငါမင္းကိုကားႏွင့္လိုက္ပိုမယ္။ “I will take you in my car to the destination.”  ငါ့ကားနဲ႔သြားလိုရာခရီးဆံုးထိလိုက္ပို႔မယ္ လို႔ျဖစ္ပါတယ္။

#2 – Everybody buckle up, please.

ေက်းဇူးျပဳၿပီး အားလံုးထိုင္ခံုခါးပတ ္ပတ္ထားေပးပါ။

buckle up ကေတာ့ျမန္မာလိုဆိုရင္ ႀကိယာပုဒ္စုပါ။ အဂၤလိပ္လိုဆိုရင္ phrasal verb ေပါ့။ 

fasten ဟူေသာ ႀကိယာကိုသမရိုးက် အသံုးအႏႈန္း အျဖစ္လည္းသံုးႏိုင္ပါတယ္။ 

“Everybody fasten your seat belts, please.”  

 သူ႔ရဲ့ ဆန္႔က်င္ဘက္အသံုးကေတာ့ unbuckling ပါ။

"Unbuckle your seat belt" မင္းထိုင္ခံုခါးပတ္ျဖဳတ္လိုက္ပါ။
