Basic Usages Part V

24. I was busy + (verb-ing)
…………အလုပ္မ်ားေနခဲ့တယ္။
When using the word 'was', you are referring to something in a past tense, or something that happened before. Combining it with the word 'busy' you can express something that was occupying you in a past time.
Here are some examples:
"I was busy thinking." စဥ္းစားရင္းအလုပ္မ်ားေနခဲ့တယ္။
"I was busy working." အလုပ္မ်ားေနခဲ့တယ္။
"I was busy cooking dinner." ညေနစာခ်က္ရင္း အလုပ္မ်ားေနခဲ့တယ္။
"I was busy talking on the phone." ဖုန္းေျပာရင္းအလုပ္မ်ားေနခဲ့တယ္။
"I was busy cleaning the house." အိမ္သန္႔ရွင္းေရးလုပ္ရင္း အလုပ္မ်ားေနခဲ့တယ္။
"I was busy studying for my test." စာေမးပြဲအတြက္ေလ့လာရင္း အလုပ္မ်ားေနခဲ့တယ္။

"I was busy thinking of ideas for our website." ကၽြန္ေတာ္တို႔ ၀က္ဆိုက္အတြက္ အၾကံဥာဏ္ေတြထုတ္ရင္း အလုပ္မ်ားေနခဲ့တယ္။
"I was busy entertaining our neighbors." အိမ္နီးနားခ်င္းေတြကို ဧည့္ခံရင္း အလုပ္မ်ားေနခဲ့တယ္။
"I was busy completing my housework." အိမ္အလုပ္ေတြလက္စသတ္ရင္း အလုပ္မ်ားေနခဲ့တယ္။
"I was busy learning new things." အသစ္သစ္ေတြကိုေလ့လာရင္း အလုပ္မ်ားေနခဲ့တယ္။

By changing 'was' to 'am' you change your message from past tense to present tense and refer to something you are doing 'now.'
was ႏွင့္ am ကိုေျပာင္းလဲျခင္းျဖင့္ အတိတ္ႏွင့္ ပစၥဳပန္ကိုေျပာင္းလဲသံုးႏိုင္သည္။
Here are some examples:

"I am busy working." အလုပ္မ်ားေနတယ္။
"I am busy cooking dinner." ညေနစာအတြက္ အလုပ္မ်ားေနတယ္။
"I am busy studying for my test." စာေမးပြဲအတြက္ အလုပ္မ်ားေနတယ္။
"I am busy completing housework." အိမ္အလုပ္ေတြကိုလက္စသတ္ရင္း အလုပ္မ်ားေနတယ္။
"I am busy talking on the phone." ဖုန္းေျပာရင္း အလုပ္မ်ားေနတယ္။

25. I'm not used to + (verb-ing)
………..နဲ႔အသားမက်ဘူး။
Here you are using 'not used to' to inform someone that you are unfamiliar or uncomfortable with a topic at hand.
Here are some examples:
"I'm not used to talking English." အဂၤလိပ္စကားေျပာရတာ အသားမက်ဘူး။(ေျပာေလ့ေျပာထမရွိ)
"I'm not used to studying so much." အရမ္းေလ့လာရတာနဲ႔ အသားမက်ဘူး။(အေလ့အက်င့္မရွိ)
"I'm not used to being around new people." လူသစ္ေတြနဲ႔ေနရတာ အသားမက်ဘူး။
"I'm not used to talking in front of groups of people." လူအုပ္စုေရွ႕ မွာစကားေျပာရတာ အသားမက်ဘူး။
"I'm not used to having so much stress." ကၽႊန္ေတာ္က ဖိအားမ်ားတာနဲ႔ အသားမက်ဘူး။
"I'm not used to traveling so much." ခရီးမ်ားမ်ားသြားရတာနဲ႔ အသားမက်ဘူး။
"I'm not used to working so early." မနက္ေစာေစာထၿပီး အလုပ္လုပ္ရတာနဲ႔ အသားမက်ဘူး။
"I'm not used to having so much responsibility." တာ၀န္ေတြအမ်ားႀကီးယူရတာနဲ႔(အလုပ္နဲ႔) အသားမက်ဘူး။
"I'm not used to drinking so much." ေရမ်ားမ်ားေသာက္ေလ့ေသာက္ထမရွိဘူး။

26. I want you to + (verb)
ငါမင္းကို…………..အလိုရွိတယ္။
'I want you to' is telling someone that you have a desire or would like for them to do something.
Here are some examples:
"I want you to clean the dishes."
"I want you to come home right after school."
"I want you to call once you get there."
"I want you to explain yourself to me."
"I want you to educate me."

By using the word 'need' instead of 'want' you are expressing something that is required or wanted.

Here are some examples:

"I need you to study harder in school."
"I need you to stop and listen to me."
"I need you to greet our guests."
"I need you to introduce me to your family."
"I need to request a refund."

27. I'm here to + (verb)
………..ဖို႔ငါဒီကိုေရာက္ေနတာ
You are informing someone that you are at a particular place to accomplish something.
Here are some examples:
"I'm here to apply for the job." အလုပ္ေလွ်ာက္ဖို႔ငါဒီကိုေရာက္ေနတာ။
"I'm here to take a test." စာေမးပြဲေျဖဖို႔ ငါဒီကိုေရာက္ေနတာ။
"I'm here to receive my gift." ငါ့လက္ေဆာင္ကိုယူဖို႔ ငါဒီကိုေရာက္ေနတာ။
"I'm here to support all your decisions." မင္းဆံုးျဖတ္ခ်က္ေတြကို ေထာက္ခံဖို႔ငါဒီကိုေရာက္ေနတာ။
"I'm here to watch a movie." ရုပ္ရွင္ၾကည့္ဖို႔ ငါဒီကိုေရာက္ေနတာ။
"I'm here to work on your computer." မင္းကြန္ျပဴတာနဲ႔အလုပ္လုပ္ဖို႔ ငါဒီကိုေရာက္ေနတာ။
"I'm here to welcome you to the neighborhood." အိမ္နီးနားခ်င္းေတြကိုႀကိဳဆိုဖို႔ ငါဒီကိုေရာက္ေနတာ။
"I'm here to raise awareness for cancer." ကင္ဆာေရာဂါအေၾကာင္း (လူေတြ) အာရံုစိုက္မိလာေအာင္လုပ္ဖို႔ ငါဒီကိုေရာက္ေနတာ။
"I'm here to start the job." အလုပ္စ၀င္ဖို႔ ငါဒီကိုေရာက္ေနတာ။
"I'm here to receive the award." ဆုလက္ခံဖို႔ ငါဒီကိုေရာက္ေနတာ။

28. I have something + (verb)
…………လုပ္စရာရွိတယ္
When using the expression 'I have something' you are communicating that you possess something or need to do something that is unspecified or undetermined.
Here are some examples:
"I have something to complete." ငါအဆံုးသတ္စရာေတြရွိတယ္။
"I have something to share with you." မင္းကိုမွ်ေ၀စရာေတြရွိတယ္။
"I have something important to tell you." အေရးတစ္ႀကီးေျပာစရာရွိတယ္။
"I have something to encourage you." မင္းကိုအားေပးစရာေတြရွိတယ္။
"I have something to explain to you." မင္းကိုရွင္းျပစရာေတြရွိတယ္။
"I have something special planned for your birthday." မင္းေမြးေန႔အတြက္ အထူးအစီအစဥ္လုပ္ထားတယ္။
"I have something else to consider." အျခားထည့္သြင္း စဥ္းစားစရာလည္းရွိေသးတယ္။
"I have something to apologize about." ေတာင္းပန္စရာရွိတယ္။
"I have something to ask you." မင္းကိုေမးစရာတစ္ခုရွိတယ္။
"I have something fun for us to do." ငါတို႔အတြက္ေပ်ာ္စရာေတြလုပ္ဖို႔ ရွိတယ္။

29.
I'm looking forward to
…………..ေမ်ာ္ေနမယ္။ ေမွ်ာ္လင့္ေနမယ္။ ေစာင္ေမွ်ာ္ေနမယ္။

When telling someone that you are 'looking forward to' you are saying that you are waiting or hoping for something, especially with pleasure.
Here are some examples:
"I'm looking forward to meeting you." မင္းကိုေတြ႔ဖို႔ေမွ်ာ္ေနမယ္။
"I'm looking forward to talking with you." မင္းနဲ႔စကားေျပာဖို႔ ေမွ်ာ္ေနမယ္။
"I'm looking forward to going on vacation." အားလပ္ရက္ ခရီးထြက္ဖို႔ေမွ်ာ္ေနမယ္။
"I'm looking forward to spending time with my family." မိသားစုနဲ႔ အခ်ိန္ျဖံဳးေမွ်ာ္လင့္ေနတယ္။
"I'm looking forward to learning the English language." အိဂၤလိပ္စာေလ့လာဖို႔ ေမွ်ာ္လင့္ထားတယ္။
"I am looking forward to visiting another country." အျခားတိုင္းျပည္တစ္ျပည္ကိုသြားဖို႔ ေမွ်ာ္လင့္ထားတယ္။
"I am looking forward to having a family." မိသားစုတစ္ခုရရွိဖို႔(ထူေထာင္ဖို႔)ေမ်ာ္လင့္ထားတယ္။
"I am looking forward to graduating from college." ေကာလိပ္က ဘြဲ႔ရဖို႔ေမွ်ာ္လင့္ထားတယ္။
"I am looking forward to running in a race." အေျပးၿပိဳင္ပြဲမွာ ၀င္ေျပးဖို႔ေမွ်ာ္လင့္ထားတယ္။
ဆက္လက္ေဖာ္ျပပါမည္။
